FRISCO, Texas (Nov. 18, 2019) — The schedule is now available for the Fall Showcase events that will mark the beginning of the 2019-20 US Youth Soccer National League season. The opening weekends will take place in late November and early December.

The first games of the season will take place Nov. 24-27 when the 14U Girls teams each play four matches (teams play one match per day at all events) in Boca Raton, Fla. The 15U-19U Girls teams will then kick off their season Dec. 5-8 in Wilson, N.C., and Goldsboro, N.C., where each team will play four games.

Teams in the 15U-19U Boys age groups will open their season Dec. 11-15 in Panama City Beach, Fla. The 17U-19U Boys teams will each play four games from Dec. 11-14, while the 15U-16U Boys teams will play four games each from Dec. 12-15.

The 14U Boys will play their first matches of the season Dec. 27-30 at the Winter Showcase event in Tampa, Fla.

All 14U Girls teams will compete in Boca Raton, and their games will take place alongside the US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Interregional. Meanwhile, the 15U-19U Girls weekend in North Carolina and the 15U-19U Boys weekend in Panama City Beach will each feature all teams in those competing age groups — 144 for each event — to create more significant opportunities for the nation’s collegiate, professional and national team coaches to see National League players in an environment of meaningful play.

The 14U Girls games in Boca Raton will be played at the Spanish River Athletic Park. The 15U-19U Girls games Wilson and Goldsboro will be played primarily at the Wilson Gillette Soccer Complex, Bryan Multi-Sport Complex and Wilson Rotary Park.

For the 15U-19U Boys, the games in Panama City Beach will be played at the Panama City Beach Sports Complex and Frank Brown Park.

The National League provides a pathway for four teams per gender age group to qualify for the US Youth Soccer National Championships, sending the top finishers in each division of the 14U through 19U Boys and Girls age groups to compete for the National title. The four National League representatives will join the four regional champions at the 2020 US Youth Soccer National Championships, July 20-26 at the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex in Overland Park, Kan.

The 13th year of National League play is shaping up to be one of the most competitive yet, as the pool of teams includes the following:

Boys
  • 6 National Champions
  • 5 National Finalists
  • 19 National League Division Champions
  • 19 Regional Champions
Girls
  • 5 National Champions
  • 5 National Finalists
  • 17 National League Division Champions
  • 18 Regional Champions

“With each team earning its way into the league, the National League provides the most competitive environment possible with quality play and meaningful games,” said Paul Luchowski, National League commissioner. “In July 2019, National League teams claimed all 12 possible National Championship titles in Overland Park. This season, we have 78 teams competing in the league that qualified for this past summer’s National Championships, including many of those title-winning sides.”

After the teams begin their seasons at their respective Fall Showcase events, the National League will continue with a pair of Winter Showcase events in Florida.

Half of the 15U-19U Boys teams will join all of the 14U Boys teams to compete in the National League Boys Winter Showcase at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay in Tampa, Fla. The 14U Boys teams will each play four games from Dec. 27-30, while the 15U-19U Boys sides will play their final three games of the season from Dec. 28-30. Meanwhile, half of the 15U-19U Girls teams will take part in the National League Girls Winter Showcase, Jan. 10-12 at The Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

Each gender wraps up its season alongside the Player College Showcase in Las Vegas, Nev., as the boys compete March 13-15 and the girls follow with games March 20-22. All teams — no matter the location of their second event — play a seven-game season.

Since its inception, National League teams have captured a combined 77 of 100 possible National Championships. For a list of past National League champions and history, click here.
