Players to Watch: ECNL Girls Texas National Event (Winter 2026)
The Winter 2026 ECNL Girls Texas National Event is coming up February 14-16, as 208 of the nation’s best teams will compete in the U14-U18/19 age groups.
ECNL Texas will mark the second ECNL Girls National Event of 2026, following the ECNL Florida Showcase which took place back in January. Ahead of the ECNL Girls Texas National Event, here are some players to know for the tournament. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

Class of 2030
Iva Mei Lian is a versatile center midfielder who is known for her tactical awareness, composure and creative playmaking. As captain of the two-time ECNL North Atlantic Champions, she dominates the midfield and excels at finding pockets of space, driving offensive transitions and delivering penetrating passes that break through defenses. A USYNT Talent ID Center Invitee, she recorded her first international goals at the 2025 UEFA Development Tournament in Slovenia with the U15 Bulgaria National Team. (HIGHLIGHTS)
Ella Vanstone | Goalkeeper
San Diego Surf 2010 (CA)
Consistently rated as one of the top overall players in the entire country from the Class of 2030, Vanstone plays up on the San Diego Surf 2010 team. She’s been identified by U.S. Soccer as a Youth National Team level goalkeeper, and will undoubtedly be a name to know for years to come.

Layla Sanders | Forward
Sting Austin 2012 (TX)
Layla Sanders is a high-impact attacking player competing at the ECNL level, where she consistently contributes through pace, pressure, and off-ball movement. She is a two-time US Youth Soccer ODP Interregional selection, recognized for her ability to perform in elite, high-tempo environments.

Kinley Minyard | Forward
Lonestar SC ECNL RL 2012 (TX)
Minyard is a prolific goal-scorer with a combination of speed, athleticism, ability to head the ball, and excellent ball-handling. The forward/midfielder is the top goal scorer in the ECNL Texas Regional League and likely the entire ECNL RL, where her team is undefeated and has scored 85 goals in conference play this season, and is top-ranked nationally. She plays MLS Next with SGA 12B Premier where she was named to the Best XI Boys of the USYS National Championships last season. She has attended U.S. Soccer Talent ID Camp, US Club Soccer id2 Camp and USYS ODP National Camp. Lonestar will be competing among ECNL national teams as a Regional League squad at the Texas showcase.

Giuliana Vitogiannes | Goalkeeper
Chicago Inter 2011 (IL)
Giuliana “G” Vitogiannes is a dedicated and enthusiastic 2011 goalkeeper from Illinois with a passion for soccer that drives her to push limits every day on the pitch. She’s been a part of 10 clean sheets with Chicago Inter 2011 during the 2025-26 ECNL season, thanks in large part to her outstanding 1v1 shot-blocking abilities and communication with her back line.
Class of 2029
An up-and-coming attacking player for FC Dallas 2010 ECNL, Harrington was selected for U.S. Soccer’s U-14 Girls Talent ID Mini-Camp last spring in Austin, TX. She was one of just 80 players called up for the camp from the Central Region, and her profile has continued to rise since then, as she’s made her presence felt all season long in ECNL competition. Harrington has the ability to score goals in bunches, and very few defenders can match up against her 1v1.
A two-way outside back for Dallas Texans 2010, King has consistently stood out against top competition, including elite matchups versus Power-4 commits. She was selected to the Allstate Next Wave National Showcase, impressed at a USL W League Talent ID, and recently held her own defensively in a pro training camp against senior-level international players from the U.S. and Canadian national teams.
Wyckoff is a tough, physical holding midfielder and defender for PacNW SC 2010 who will be a name to watch from the Class of 2029. She showed a lot of promise with her performance at the 2026 ECNL Florida Winter Event last month, forcing turnovers and making numerous key runs and key passes to convert possessions into quick scoring opportunities. Kylee has helped lead her Sting Royal 2011 ECNL team’s defense with only conceding 6 goals in the ECNL Texas Conference to date, one of the lowest goals against in the conference. Her work in making defensive plays and controlling the midfield has been integral with her team’s success so far this season. She’s coming off a strong performance at the ECNL Kansas City National Event, and will look to continue her success in showcase action in Dallas. (HIGHLIGHTS)
Samantha is a fast, physical defender who remains composed under pressure and is equally comfortable building out of the back or igniting quick counter attacks. A key piece of the 3-time ECNL Mid-Atlantic Champions and a USYNT ID Camp invitee, she brings a consistent game managing presence to the back line. Her impact shows up on the stat sheet too, their defense has surrendered just 6 goals in 13 matches heading into the ECNL Dallas Showcase.
The team captain for Liverpool IA Michigan 2011, Jallad is a dominant defensive midfielder with the ability to completely control the flow of the game. She’s earned a roster spot on the US Youth Soccer ODP National Team and was named 2025 LFC Player of the Year, the top individual honor bestowed by her club.
Brynn is returning from a major knee injury after making a full recovery over the last year, and is ready to return to her elite level of play. She has 10 career ECNL goals and was invited to the USYNT ID camp prior to her injury. She has competed in London with the Surf Select National Team where they went undefeated and won the Royal Preseason Cup.
An elusive attacker, Nouri uses her quick first step, speed, and ball skills to create opportunities for herself and teammates on the 3-time ECNL Mid-Atlantic Champion Arlington 2011 team. The Class of 2029 player excels as a winger or striker that very few defenders can match up against in 1v1 situations. Tied for the team lead in goals scored on she is comfortable in finishing with either foot. Nouri is a creative high energy player who often combines with her teammates to create threats in the attacking third.

Sheldon is a rising ECNL goalkeeper in the Class of 2029, quickly establishing herself as a dependable presence between the posts. Throughout the 2025–26 season, she has showcased excellent hands, sharp movement within the box, and a strong connection to the field through confident, commanding communication.

Kate Beason | Defender
San Diego Surf 2010 and 2009 (CA)
Beason will be competing up two age groups at the Dallas ECNL Showcase in February, playing with the San Diego Surf U17 team for 2 games. She will also play with the San Diego Surf U16 team for one game, demonstrating her versatility and maturity on the field. She has consistently stepped into higher-level competition with confidence, contributing defensively against top national opponents. Kate has also been a key defender for the Surf 2011 team, helping lead the squad to two national championship titles through her strong positioning, leadership and work ethic.
Class of 2028
After representing the U.S. U-16 Girls National Team in January 2026 for their training camp and friendlies in Spain, Hasan is back in ECNL action with Eclipse Select SC 2010. One of the absolute best goalkeeper prospects in the Class of 2028, Hasan will go head-to-head against some extremely elite competition in Dallas, taking on Real Colorado, GSA and San Diego Surf.
Returning to ECNL National Event competition after her latest international action with the U.S. U-16 Girls National Team, Voss is one of the nation’s top-rated defenders from the Class of 2028. She’s a left-footed center back for Minnesota Thunder Academy 2010 with an exceptional work rate and game-breaking speed, which she combines with a high soccer IQ to shut down opposing offenses and to get forward quickly on counter attacks.
A strong attacking player for Sting Black 2009 ECNL and Texas State Champion Celina High School, Peoples will be aiming to leave her mark on the ECNL Texas National Event, as she closes in on her active recruiting window. Peoples had an impressive performance at the ECNL Phoenix Event back in November, scoring goals, setting up her teammates and forcing turnovers in the midfield. (HIGHLIGHTS)
An ECNL All-Conference honoree from the Mid-Atlantic, Stover serves as team captain for Northern Virginia side Arlington Soccer 2010 ECNL. Stover is a fast, smart, technical, and physical box-to-box midfielder with a strong presence on offense and defense. She’s earned a number of regional and national recognitions over the years, notably including selection for the 2025 ECNL Conference Cup, where she was one of 120 total players chosen from around the country.
Brooklyn is a driven, difference maker. A highly skilled, left-foot dominant fullback, she is known for her precise ball control, exceptional vision, and ability to impact both ends of the field. With the endurance to play at a high level throughout matches, she is a constant threat, whether locking down defensively or aggressively joining the attack.
Leddy is a two-sided outside back who plays with good awareness and consistency. She reads the game early, defends well in 1v1 situations, and stays connected to the back line. She’s comfortable playing out of the back, makes simple, effective decisions under pressure, and knows when to support the attack without putting the group at risk. Her work rate and reliability stand out, and she’s the type of defender you trust in high-level matches.
Overton will be representing Dallas Texans 09 ECNL Regional League at ECNL Dallas. She is a nationally ranked Top 100 goalkeeper and a two-time Texas State Champion, earning EXACT All-American honors in both 2025 and 2026 along with Player of the Year recognition in 2025. She has competed at the highest levels as a Regional Finalist, Super Copa Finalist, and Dallas Cup Semi-Finalist, while serving as the varsity goalkeeper at Argyle High School. Hadley is also a member of the 25/26 Olympic Development Team and will compete internationally in England during the summer of 2026.

Chloe Steinburg | Defender
XF Academy 2010 (WA)
One of the top defenders in the ECNL Northwest Conference and a captain for the XF Academy 2010 team, Chloe was honored as ECNL All-Conference First Team selection for the 2024-25 season. A strong center back and midfielder, Chloe has received USYNT Talent ID invites three years in a row, and was selected to participate in the ECNL National Selection Game in Phoenix in 2025. A high school all-conference team selection, two-time varsity soccer MVP, and a state-qualifying track runner, she has the technical skills and the speed to take her game to the next level.

Avery Sands | Defender
Dallas Sting Royal 2010 (TX)
Sands is a 2026 U.S. Youth National Team ID Camp invite and starting center back for Sting Royal ECNL, helping lead her team to the 2025 ECNL National Playoffs Top 16 and the 2024 ECNL National Playoffs. A First Team All-District and First Team All-Academic honoree, she combines elite defensive presence with intelligence and leadership on and off the field.

Kennedy Wallace | Midfielder
Match Fit Surf 2009 (NJ)
Wallace earned ECNL North Atlantic First Team All-Conference honors at both the U15 and U16 levels, and she’s the top-ranked Class of 2028 player at her position in the state of New Jersey (#64 nationally) by Prep Soccer. She has also received multiple invitations to NY/NJ Gotham FC events, and projects as a high-level prospect among Power 4 college programs.
Class of 2027
Bialek is a talented Class of 2027 defender who serves as team captain for Match Fit Surf 2008, and who recently verbally committed to Pitt. She’s known as one of the premier defensive players in her region, having represented Match Fit in an ECNL National Selection Game last spring. She’s an All-State player in New York on the high school side for Clarkstown North.
Addyson recently returned to the pitch from injury and has wasted no time in getting back to her playmaking ways. She has scored in 4 of her first 5 ECNL league games for Washington Premier FC 2008 since returning, and will look to continue building momentum at ECNL Dallas.
Kang is a dynamic 2027 uncommitted forward who frequently drops into the midfield to connect play and drive possession forward. With the ability to strike confidently with both feet, she can be defenders on the dribble and thread precise through balls to break defensive lines. Her vision, creativity, and composure will make her a constant attacking threat at the ECNL Dallas, showcase as she looks to take her performance to the next level.
Fresh off her verbal commitment to play NCAA Division I soccer in the Big Ten for Minnesota, Olenek turns her attention to the ECNL Dallas Showcase. The Rockford Raptors 2009 goalkeeper is coming off a standout performance at the ECNL Florida Showcase, where she secured three straight clean sheet appearances during her time between the posts.
Standing nearly 6 feet tall, Morgan is an imposing 2027 goalkeeper with confident distribution, quick feet, and an ability to stretch wingspan on low dives that is sometimes difficult for taller keepers. After multiple clean sheets at ECNL Phoenix that landed her on the Players that Impressed list, Morgan will look to continue her success at ECNL National Events in Texas.
An uncommitted Class of 2027 forward for KC Athletics 2009, Merriam is also a mainstay in the Honduras Youth National Team roster pool, representing the country at the U16-U20 levels over the years. Merriam brings consistency and focus to the field, contributing on the attacking side and with her defensive presence, utilizing a dangerous high press and putting constant pressure on opponents.
As an ECNL Southeast All-Conference 1st Team player, Sophia is known for her versatility, soccer IQ, and exceptional work ethic. She reads the game faster than most, has a great first touch, adapts to different systems, contributes in multiple defensive and midfield roles, and makes quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

West Side Alliance 2009 (OK)
A left-footed center back playing in the ECNL Texas Conference, Ellie and her back line have produced 10 shutouts this season, including against Top 10 teams Sting Royal and Sting Austin. She scored a header goal to beat Dallas Texans and has helped her team produce shutouts in all 6 games during the ECNL Phoenix and Kansas City showcases this season.

This uncommitted Class of 2027 midfielder is in the midst of an impressive season with Maryland side Pipeline SC, and she has another big opportunity to shine on the national stage. She’s a former ECNL Regional League standout who worked her way to the national ECNL level with powerhouse club Solar SC, where she’s developed into a strong role player who often makes key passes leading to goals.

Another uncommitted Class of 2027 attacking player representing the undefeated Solar SC 2009 squad, Tate has risen quickly on the radar of college programs over the course of the season. She drew attention for her successful showing at the ECNL Florida Showcase in January, where she made a number of excellent passes and got in on the scoring herself. She consistently breaks pressure with sharp distribution and fearless ball‑carrying, creating dangerous attacking moments and elevating her team’s overall tempo. Her exceptional long throw‑ins function as a true set‑piece weapon, adding an immediate and unique threat in the final third.

Colorado Rush 2009 (CO)
Martinez is a box-to-box central midfielder who combines tempo control with a consistently competitive edge. She plays with urgency in midfield battles, stays engaged defensively, and continues to assert herself through work rate and ball-winning between the lines. Martinez enters the ECNL Phoenix event ranked as a Top-5 player at her position in her class by Prep Soccer.
Class of 2026
A two-time selection for the prestigious ECNL Conference Cup, Kennedy Jackson is one of the strongest goalkeepers in the ECNL’s Northwest Conference. The Washington Premier 2008 team captain has committed to play NCAA D1 soccer for Grambling State next fall.
This Sting Austin 2008 standout will begin her NCAA D1 soccer career at UTSA later this year, as she begins the home stretch of her youth soccer career. Clark is an All-American for Lake Travis High School, where she’s the all-time leading scorer. She’s had an outstanding run with Sting Austin, previously earning All-ECNL Texas Conference honors.
