NYCFC loans Homegrown Player James Sands to Louisville City FC

(Via NYCFC) – James Sands has joined Louisville City FC of the USL on loan until September 1, 2018. NYCFC retain the right to recall Sands at any point during that period subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
Sands is the club’s first Homegrown Player who joined the first team in 2017 after signing on at NYCFC’s youth academy in 2015. Sands has played once this season for NYCFC during a 2018 U.S. Open Cup match and also represented NYCFC at the 2018 MLS Homegrown Game in Atlanta.
Louisville City FC is coached by Sands’ former U.S. U17 National Team head coach, John Hackworth.
