NYCFC Academy U-16s open GA Cup with PK win vs. Seattle

(Via NYCFC) – The NYCFC U16s got off to a winning start at the Generation adidas Cup finals in Frisco, Texas.
Matt Pilkington’s side defeated Seattle Sounders 5-4 on penalties in the opening game of the tournament following a 0-0 draw.
Goalkeeper Johan Penaranda was the hero in the shootout, saving Seattle’s first spot kick and then NYCFC went on to net all five of their penalties.
