No. 4 Maryland men’s soccer set to host Navy, Xavier in preseason

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (Via University of Maryland) – The No. 4 ranked Maryland men’s soccer team will play host to a pair of exhibitions against Navy and Xavier on Aug. 17 and Aug. 20, respectively.
The Terps are fresh off a dominant 6-2 victory at Tulsa on Sunday. Sophomore transfer Gordon Wild scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Maryland. The Terps scored four unanswered goals to cap its first exhibition match of the year.

Navy was 8-9-1 a year ago but outscored opponents, 23-20. Junior Aubrey Jones led the Midshipmen with four goals on the year.
Xavier was 12-6-1 in 2015 and had its season conclude in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament to top-seeded Georgetown, 1-0.
Both matches are free to the public and will kick off from Ludwig Field at 7 p.m.
