With more than 900 guests in attendance at the Pines Manor in Edison, N.J., the 2019 event was the largest in its 31-year history.

Among the many highlights of the evening was the induction of long-time The College of New Jersey women’s soccer and ODP head coach Joe Russo into the NJYS Hall of Fame. Also, New Jersey native and professional player Yael Averbuch delivered a powerful keynote address to a room full of engaged spectators.

NJYS honored many volunteers, coaches, players and scholarship winners throughout the night with awards provided by Wilson Trophy, the official supplier of NJYS and US Youth Soccer. Representatives from the US Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer were among the guests at the event, and college soccer coaches from local universities such as Rutgers University, Rider University, Monmouth University, Rowan University and TCNJ were also in attendance. Additionally, more than 20 state, regional and national championship teams were recognized with special presentations, as were ODP coaches and regional players.

Official NJYS partners including RWJBarnabas Health, adidas, Sky Blue FC, New York Red Bulls, Philadelphia Union, JAG-ONE Physical Therapy and Stack Sports activated on-site to the delight of the players.
