SAINT LOUIS, MO – NC State men’s soccer junior forward Donavan Phillip has been awarded the 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy on Friday evening at the MAC’s annual banquet. The award goes to the top male and female soccer players at the collegiate level each year.

The MAC Hermann Trophy, the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer, has been awarded annually since 1967. The 10-pound crystal soccer ball, is awarded to the United Soccer Coaches National Players of the Year in NCAA DI men’s and women’s soccer based on voting conducted by member coaches.

Phillip’s historic season as the nation’s leading goal scorer continues to earn him honors and awards. He becomes the first-ever member of the Pack to claim the most prestigious collegiate soccer award.

Helping lead NC State to a 16-3-4 record and its first-ever appearance in the national championship, the Saint Lucia native closed out his second campaign for the Pack with 19 goals and two assists. He is the first NC State men’s player to score that many goals in a season since 1984, while also posting the most points (40) in a season since 1991. Phillip was named a USC first-team All-American as well as the ACC Offensive Player of the Year.
