Kickers partner with 3v3 Live for National Tour at Ukrop Park

The Richmond Kickers partner with 3v3 Live to host the first-ever 3v3 Tournament at the Kickers state-of-the-art complex, Ukrop Park, on Saturday, June 23. Open to male and female players ages U6 to adult.

“We are excited to add 3v3 Live to our Kickers Tournament Series,” commented Leigh Cowlishaw, Richmond Kickers Director of Soccer. “This will be a unique tournament where friends, teammates and neighbors can create their own team and assign their own coach. The event is sure to be action packed with music and a festival atmosphere at one of the best complexes on the East Coast.”

The 3v3 format offers fast-paced, skill building, fun soccer that involves every player constantly touching the ball. Teams may have up to six players and can be organized by parents or coaches. Guaranteed a minimum of four 20-minute games, each player will receive an official 3v3 Live Tour t-shirt and medals will be awarded to the players on the top three teams in each division, while the top four teams in each division automatically qualify for the Premier division at any 3v3 Live Regional event.

“The most attractive component to the 3v3 Live tournament is that our entire Kickers membership can participate,” added Cowlishaw. “The tournament is open to all ages and levels of play and it will be a great day to have all our players and families experience this fun-filled event.”

To cap off the event in style, each tournament participate will receive a ticket to see two of the best professional teams outside Major League Soccer as the Richmond Kickers battle USL PRO rivals Rochester Rhinos later that evening at City Stadium.
