FC Dallas celebrates high school graduation for trio of Homegrown Players
Frisco, TX – FC Dallas surprised a trio of Homegrown Players with an impromptu high school graduation on Friday at the conclusion of the team’s training session. FC Dallas forwards Ricardo Pepi, Beni Redžić and Dante Sealy graduated from high school last week.
The team celebrated the players, who took classes online while training and playing for FC Dallas, with a visit from their high school counselors, teachers and parents.
Pepi, who has one goal on the season and five in 30 MLS appearances, graduated from Texas Virtual Academy. Assistant Academic Administrator LB Siebenmann presented Pepi with his diploma and graduation cap. Pepi’s father Daniel, mother Annette, brother Diego and sister Sophia also attended.
Redžić and Sealy, who scored his first MLS goal this year, both graduated from Grapevine-Colleyville ISD’s iUniversity Prep. Their teachers Andres Betancue and Heather Davis along with Executive Director of Virtual Learning Dr. Kaye Rogers and Office Manager Donna Aulerich presented both players with their diplomas and graduation caps. Redžić’s father Ethem, mother Adisa and sister Sara were in attendance while Sealy’s father Scott and mother Kaomi joined the celebration.
