ECNL: Under-14s load up on games at Rockford, Seattle Inter-Conference Events

This was the weekend for two ECNL Under-14 Inter-Conference Events, one in Rockford, Ill. and the other in Seattle, with a plethora of teams playing a plethora of games.

Michigan Hawks, participating in the Rockford event, picked up three wins in two days, defeating Colorado Rush and Real Colorado 3-1 and 4-0, respectively, on Saturday, before dominating in a 10-0 win Sunday against Utah Avalanche.

Out west, De Anza Force also won three times in two days, giving up just a single goal in the process in wins over So Cal Blues, Slammers FC and West Coast FC.

San Diego Surf also scored three wins in three days, outscoring Santa Rosa United, MVLA and Mustang SC by a combined 16-1.

All the teams playing in the Rockford and Seattle events played the same three games in two days schedule, with two of those on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

In U-15 action, Concorde Fire moved to 5-0-1 win a dominating 9-0 win over Birmingham United. Concorde Fire has outscored opponents 27-3 in six games, with four players having at least five goals–Brook Colangelo (6 goals, 6 assists), Lily Ammon (5 goals, 4 assists), Katie MacGinnitie (5 goals, 3 assists) and Gabriela Rivera (5 goals, 1 assist).

In the win over Birmingham United, Ammon, MacGinnitie and Rivera each scored twice, while Colangelo added a goal and three assists, and Claire Shea had two assists. Lily Barron and Elizabeth Sieracki also had goals, while Ammon and Rivera also added assists.

In U-16 play, Dallas Sting (5-0-1) picked up two wins over the weekend, defeating Solar-Chelsea Soccer club (0-3-0) 4-0 Saturday and D’Feeters Soccer Club (1-4-0) 2-1 on Sunday in Texas Conference action, while Atlanta Fire (4-2-1) picked up two wins over the weekend, defeating Concorde Fire (4-2-1) 4-3 and Gwinnett Soccer Association (4-2-0) 2-1.

Lonestar SC moved to 4-0-0 in U-17s, picking a 3-1 win over Challenge SC Saturday, while the club’s U-18s also defeated Challenge SC 1-0.
