While Virginia Rush’s older age groups did not get off to a strong start to the 2012-13 Elite Clubs National League season, their Under-14 and U-15 teams fared better, with both picking up shutout wins Saturday over the Richmond Strikers at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex.
ECNL: Richmond Strikers U-17s start strong with shutout win over Va. Rush
The Richmond Strikers Under-17 and U-18 ECNL teams started the season strong as both posted shutouts over host Virginia Rush in the opening matches of the season for both clubs. Elizabeth Ball scored twice and set up two more goals in the U-17 Strikers 5-0 win, while Megan Fitzsimmons scored twice in the Strikers U-18s' 3-0 win.
