LA Galaxy launch fully-funded Girls Development Academy teams
The LA Galaxy announced on Tuesday that the club has launched girls' Under-14/15, U-16/17 and U-18/19 academy teams that will compete in the U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy League, which is set to begin in the fall of 2017. It will be the first girls’ academy program to be fully-funded by a Major League Soccer side, allowing talented local athletes to join free of charge.
Girls’ DA adds four clubs, announces Regional Divisions
Four additional clubs have made a commitment to join the Girls' Development Academy, along with the initial group of clubs that were announced on June 30, July 8, and August 17. Three clubs will be added in the West market: Albion SC (San Diego, Calif.), LA Galaxy (Carson, Calif.), and San Jose Earthquakes (San Jose, Calif.). In addition, United Futbol Academy (Cumming, Ga.) will join in the Southeast market.

US Club Soccer id² Training Camp concludes in Connecticut
A talented group of 112 players representing 66 clubs and 19 states competed during the id² Training Camp at TD Bank Oakwood Soccer Park in Portland, Conn., Sept. 29-Oct. 2. This camp is the first of two in the fall, as the cycle targeting boys born in 2003 and girls born in 2002-03 comes to a close.
