U.S. Soccer Development Academy introduces new competition structure
In a project spanning years of observation, analysis and planning, the U.S. Soccer Development Academy will launch a new schedule for the 2018-19 season designed to maximize meaningful competition. While clubs will continue to compete in the current seven geographical divisions nationwide, individual club schedules will be adjusted to ensure the most competitive match-ups week-in and week-out. The new structure also allows more flexibility for clubs to schedule additional events tailored to the needs of its players.

Club Champions League announces 2017-2018 division winners
The Club Champions League has crowned the champions for the 2017-18 CCL season. Arlington Soccer Association earned top honors, taking home the Dave Amsler Club Champion Trophy along with the Danny Beamer Boys Overall Title. Beach FC placed a close second following Arlington in the overall club race, and took home the Peggy Borgard Overall Girls Title.

Lauren Hinton named Gatorade Connecticut Girls Player of the Year
In its 33rd year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company, today announced Lauren Hinton of Loomis Chaffee School as its 2017-18 Gatorade Connecticut Girls Soccer Player of the Year. Hinton is the fourth Gatorade Connecticut Girls Soccer Player of the Year to be chosen from Loomis Chaffee School.

Twenty ECNLers named Gatorade State Girls Soccer Players of the Year
Twenty ECNL players earned 2017-18 Gatorade State Girls’ Soccer Player of the Year honors. Each of the eight ECNL conferences have at least one player who earned this honor, with five conferences contributing three or more players to this year’s Gatorade State Girls’ Soccer Player of the Year.
Maliah Morris honored as Gatorade D.C. Girls Soccer Player of the Year
In its 33rd year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company, today announced Maliah Morris of St. John's College High School as its 2017-18 Gatorade District of Columbia Girls Soccer Player of the Year. Morris is the third Gatorade District of Columbia Girls Soccer Player of the Year to be chosen from St. John's College High School.
