Maryland United, Bethesda SC, FC Virginia ECNL teams improve playoff standing
There was plenty of movement in the ECNL Mid-Atlantic Division table this weekend across the age groups as the regular season quickly winds down for most teams, and even came to a close for others. Potomac area clubs Bethesda SC, FC Virginia, Richmond United and Maryland United FC each had teams improve their playoff standing with crucial late-season wins.

Richmond United, Bethesda SC, Maryland United U-14 ECNL sides thrive at South Carolina showcase
Potomac area ECNL teams enjoyed a successful weekend amid challenging competition at the U-13 and U-14 ECNL Showcase at the MESA Complex in Greer, South Carolina over the weekend. Bethesda SC, Richmond United, Maryland United and McLean U-14 sides went a combined 6-2-4.
Tri-State area ECNL review: May 2-3, 2015
Tri-State area ECNL clubs World Class FC, PDA, FSA FC, Connecticut FC, Albertson SC, East Meadow SC and World Class FC faced off this weekend in local competition. Meanwhile, Match Fit Academy and PDA battled Pennsylvania sides Continental FC DELCO and FC Bucks in addition to local matches. As expected, there was shakeup throughout the ECNL Northeast Conference in several age groups.
Potomac area ECNL review: Maryland United U-16s revive playoff hopes with two wins in Ohio
While some Potomac area ECNL players took part in the Mid-Atlantic Player Development Program event in Richmond, Va., Maryland United traveled to Ohio as a club and several other local U-14 sides competed in divisional match-ups. Top performances on the weekend included the Maryland United U-16s who went a perfect 2-0-0 with wins against Ohio Premier and Internationals SC, and the Maryland United U-15s who earned two draws against the same clubs.
Maryland United FC adds high profile coaches to ECNL and boys coaching staff
Maryland United FC has added former D.C. United Academy coach Jon Norem to the boys coaching staff and Ohio Elite coach David Stockum to the ECNL staff. Stockum will oversee the club's U-16 and U-17 ECNL teams, while Norem will work on the boys side of the club.
