NC State women’s soccer team adds five new members to the Wolfpack

RALEIGH – NC State women’s soccer head coach Tim Santoro announced the addition of five student-athletes to the 2023 spring roster. The first part of the 2023 signing class will arrive in January and will include four freshmen and one transfer.

“The first part of our 2023 class will arrive in January and we’re excited about what these five will add,” Santoro said. “We’ve improved our goalkeeper position, and we’ve added talent in both our midfield and front groups.”

The Pack will welcome incoming freshmen Jade Bordeleau, Emily Earles, Hannah Jibril and Rosalie Olou, and Louisville transfer Olivia Pratapas to the 2023 spring roster. The group consists of two forwards (Bordeleau and Jibril), two goalkeepers (Earles and Pratapas) and one midfielder (Olou). The group includes three domestic players and two international signees.

“The balance of domestic and international recruiting has been key for us becoming a top program year in and year out and this group, along with the three we’ll add later for the fall, will prove that,” Santoro said. “By the time we’re done with this class, we’ll have a depth of quality we’ve never had.

“The goal was to fill immediate needs in every position and this class, along with the returning players from season-ending injuries in 2022, will make this NCAA Tournament team much different and much improved for next fall.”

See below for a look at each of the new members of the Wolfpack.

Jade Bordeleau | Forward | Terrebonne, QC, Canada | Quebec REX
Bordeleau is one of five international recruits to arrive in Raleigh, coming from Canada’s Quebec REX program. She was member of the U17 National Team at the FIFA U17 World Cup in India this past October.

Santoro on Bordeleau: “Jade has all the attributes of a top attacker. Instincts, touch, passing, finishing and movement. She’s another spring arrival that will benefit greatly from this time and should add a lot to our attack for the fall.”

Emily Earles | Goalkeeper | Raleigh, N.C. | NC Courage
Earles arrives to NC State from local club, NC Courage.

Santoro on Earles: “Emily will add depth to a position we are looking to continue to evolve. She’s got very good feet, a calm demeanor and will benefit from arriving early in the spring and training with the other GKs.”

Hannah Jibril | Forward | Glyndon, Md. | Pipeline SC
Jibril comes to Raleigh from Pipeline Soccer Club in Maryland.

Santoro on Jibril: “Hannah will fill a need of a true striker. She can score goals, is very good in the build-up and takes pride in the defensive side of the game in that position. We’re excited to be able to work with her this spring and add a player who will boost our attack.”

Rosalie Olou | Midfielder | Blainville, QC, Canada | Quebec REX
Olou is one of five international recruits to arrive in Raleigh, coming from Canada’s Quebec REX program.

Santoro on Olou: “Rosalie is very clean on the ball, with passing and dribbling, but also covers good ground defensively as a two-way midfielder. Her arrival in the spring will add to our midfield and prepare her for the fall.”

Olivia Pratapas | Goalkeeper | Clemmons, N.C. | NC Fusion (Louisville)
Pratapas is a transfer from Louisville and played club soccer at NC Fusion.

Santoro on Pratapas: “We liked Olivia in the initial recruiting process but she committed early before our recruiting began. So, to get a second chance with her is great and she’ll add immediate experience and quality at this position.”
