UMBC women’s soccer welcomes seven-player recruiting class

BALTIMORE – UMBC women’s soccer head coach Vanessa Mann announced the incoming class for the 2022 season that features six first-year students and one NCAA Division I transfer.

The seven newcomers join an already young group looking to build off the 2021 campaign.

Five different states and the nation of Denmark are represented across the seven newcomers including a pair from Pennsylvania.

The group includes Division I transfer Lola Negrete from Jacksonville University (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Trabuco Hills/Jacksonville).

The 2022 season gets underway on Thursday, August 18 when the Retrievers head to D.C  to take on George Washington. UMBC will make their home debut a week later on Thursday, August 25 against Wagner at 6 p.m. America East play opens up on September 18 at defending champion Vermont.
