Players to Watch: ECNL Girls South Carolina National Event (Spring 2026)

The Spring 2026 ECNL Girls South Carolina National Event is coming up May 8-10, featuring top teams across the U12-U15 age groups.

ECNL South Carolina will be one of the last remaining National Events of the 2025-26 regular season, serving as a tune-up for the ECNL Playoffs. It will also provide a meaningful opportunity for players in the younger age groups to prepare themselves for the college showcase environment, as they get ready to compete in high-stakes tournaments in future seasons.

A total of 171 teams will be competing at ECNL South Carolina, which will include ECNL and ECNL Regional League teams. Many of the nation’s premier young prospects will be in attendance.

Ahead of ECNL South Carolina, here are some players to know for the tournament. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

Devyn Greggs

Midfielder
PA

Greggs is a promising midfield prospect for Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy 2012 ECNL, who brings a wide range of technical skills and upside. She’s an excellent passer with tremendous field vision, thrives in 1v1 situations where she’s constantly winning balls and creating extra possessions for her team, and she can create and finish scoring chances for her team. She has been selected for US Youth Soccer’s ODP East Regional Team in each of the last two seasons.

This talented goalkeeper for Florida Kraze Krush 2013 ECNL has a futsal background, which she has used to develop her outstanding quickness and athleticism, working in tight spaces with little time to react. She helped lead Krush to the ECNL’s Southeast Conference Championship this regular season, their second straight year finishing at the top of the table, after they won the Pre-ECNL Conference title last season.

Reese Sykes | Midfielder
Concorde Fire Platinum 2012 (GA)

A two-time member of the US Youth Soccer ODP Southern Regional Team, Sykes is a dynamic midfielder representing one of the best ECNL programs in the entire country, Concorde Fire. This spring, she was one of only 25 midfielders from the South Region invited to the U.S. U-14 Girls Talent ID Mini-Camp.

Flora Schweer

A rising star in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Flora Schweer has been a force in the attacking midfield all season long for Arlington Soccer 2012 ECNL. She was recently called up by U.S. Soccer for the U.S. U-14 Girls North Talent ID Mini Camp and is currently participating in US Club Soccer’s id2 National Selection Camp in Northern Virginia.

Brennan Owen

Defender
GA

Owen is a tough and savvy defender for Atlanta Fire United 2012 ECNL, who plays center back with a ton of poise and has a knack for calmly getting her team out of some situations. She has great chemistry with her fellow defenders and her goalkeeper, and one of her strongest assets is her sharp and accurate passing, which she often uses to methodically work the ball out of her side’s defensive third and into safety. Ally Broyles | Goalkeeper
Tennessee SC 2012 (TN)

Broyles will be a name to know in the coming years, as she’s carved out a strong career so far as one of the premier goalkeepers in the ECNL’s Ohio Valley Conference. Representing Tennessee SC 2012 ECNL, she earned a call-up to this year’s U.S. U-14 Girls South Region Talent ID Mini-Camp.

Sullivan Frericks | Midfielder
Tennessee SC 2012 (TN)

Frericks helped lead Tennessee SC 2012 to the Round of 16 in the ECNL Playoffs last season at the U13 level, after the team finished the 2024-25 regular season as Ohio Valley Conference champions. She’s a promising defensive midfielder who has been tabbed by U.S. Soccer as one of the best in the Southern Region for her age group.

Concorde Fire Platinum 2012 (GA)

Long is a key member of a Concorde Fire Platinum 2012 squad which is loaded with talent. She plays both attacking and center mid, where she’s a central piece of her team’s offensive strategy. Long participated in this year’s U.S. U-14 Girls South Region Talent ID Mini-Camp and she’s a member of the US Youth Soccer ODP Southern Regional Team.

Pratt has been extremely busy this season, serving as a major contributor for NC Courage Academy in ECNL action, while also receiving multiple individual selections to prestigious events. This spring, she participated in the U.S. U-14 Girls South Region Talent ID Mini-Camp, and she’s currently participating in US Club Soccer’s id2 National Selection Camp in Northern Virginia.

Lexington Sporting Club 2012 (KY)

A highly versatile and impactful 2012 player, Reese has consistently stood out as both a goal scorer and playmaker. Primarily developed as a central and box-to-box midfielder for Lexington Sporting Club, she was also identified by U.S. Soccer as a forward and selected to attend the recent U.S. U-14 North Regional Mini Camp – showing her ability to influence the game in multiple roles.

The Class of 2029 goalkeeper has been in the midst of a strong 2025-26 season, which recently included a championship performance at the SWIT Cup, a prestigious international girls’ tournament in Barcelona, Spain. Pearson delivered some big saves for NC Courage Academy’s U15 squad at the event, and she’ll look to continue that momentum at ECNL South Carolina.

An attacking central midfielder for Concorde Fire Platinum 2011 ECNL, Schmitt has racked up numerous impressive accolades over the past few years. She’s a previous selection for the US Youth Soccer ODP National Team and she was one of 80 players called up by U.S. Soccer for the 2025 U-14 Girls East Region Talent ID Mini-Camp.
