U.S. U-15 Girls National Team dominates England 4-0 to finish April camp
BURTON-ON-TRENT, England – The U.S. Under-15 Girls’ National Team defeated England, 4-0, as midfielder Olivia Winters scored twice and forward Olivia Jones notched the first goal.
The only player not named Olivia who scored was midfielder Lilia Bhuta, younger sister of former U.S. U-17 WNT captain Mia Bhuta, whose 65th minute goal was sandwich between Jones’ 21st minute opening strike and Winters’ second-half brace.
The two teams also played a scrimmage on April 26 with the USA winning 4-2 in a match played in three 30-minute periods.
In this full international match, the first of 2026 for the U.S. U-15 GNT, Jones opened the scoring just past the 20-minute mark. Midfielder Riley Broad played the ball into forward Lyla Charlet in the penalty box and Charlet played it to the back post for Jones to tap in.
The USA doubled the lead 20 minutes into the second half as Charlet set up the goal for Bhuta, who had come into the match just nine minutes earlier.

Winters, who didn’t enter the game until the 66th minute, then scored twice in an eight-minute span to put the game away, with the first one coming in the 82nd after the USA won the ball with some high pressure. Winters latched onto a poor pass in midfield and chipped her shot over the goalkeeper.
The final goal came off a shot from captain Maddie James that was spilled by the England goalkeeper and then finished by Winters. Sophia Thompson and Sarah Webb shared the shutout in goal for the USA.
All 20 players named to this roster by head coach Vanessa Mann were born in 2011. This group of players will be the ones who will attempt to qualify for the 2028 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
