Oklahoma introduces 2026 recruiting class, featuring eight new Sooners

NORMAN — Oklahoma Sooners soccer program announced the signing of eight freshmen as part of the program’s 2026 recruiting class. The incoming group includes four forwards, three midfielders and a goalkeeper.

Four of the student-athletes hail from Oklahoma, while two come from Colorado and Texas respectively.

Freshmen Mackenzie ClouseHalley Jae Coffey and Olivia Wright will train with the Sooners this spring.

Avery Brand | Midfielder | Parker, Colo. | Legend HS | Club: Real Colorado

Achievements: Four-year letterwinner … academic all-conference … team MVP … U17 ECNL National Champion … tallied eight goals, notching 18 total points in the 2025 season.

Personal: Daughter of Wade and Amy Brand … has one sister, Lauren … honor roll student each year … member of student youth congress.

Achievements: Two-time Oklahoma 6A State Finalist … 2025 high school state champion … 2025 all-district team selection … made the ECNL playoffs three years in a row … two-time ECNL finalist … also lettered in basketball and was a two-time defensive player of the year with her team … lettered in cross country and track & field … four-time cross country state qualifier and state qualifier for track & field (4×4 relay) … 2022-23 freshman of the year in cross country & track …  2024-25 cross country MVP … four-year cross country all-region team … 2023-24 cross country all-conference team

Personal: Daughter of Angie and Darrin McCallister … has one sibling, Hayden … National Honor Society student.

Why OU: “I had never grown up around Oklahoma, but I knew the second I stepped on campus it was the perfect fit. The environment of the team itself pulled me right in. I could immediately tell how close-knit a program Oklahoma was, which was the number one thing I looked for during my recruiting process. Personal: Daughter of Jeff and Monica Wright … has one sibling, Jaxon … National Honors Society student … enjoys going to the lake, hanging out with friends and family, shopping, swimming and tanning.
