Players to Watch: ECNL Girls Phoenix National Event (Fall 2025)

The ECNL Girls Phoenix National Event is coming up November 14-16, as some of the nation’s best teams will go head-to-head in one of the top showcases of the Fall 2025 season.

ECNL Phoenix will feature 205 total teams across the U16-U18/19 age groups, as the college recruiting season enters a key phase. The 2025 NCAA soccer season will be in its final stage for NCAA Tournament qualifiers, or already in the books for all programs around the country, opening the door for college coaches to turn their full attention to the recruiting world.

Ahead of ECNL Phoenix, here are some players to know for the tournament. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

Class of 2029

Isabela Moreno

Forward
IL

A Class of 2029 prospect who plays up a year with the Eclipse Select 2010 squad, Moreno is one of the hardest-working players in the country. She has a prolific Brazilian futsal background and her technical skills are off the charts, thanks to her nonstop individual training, which is well-documented on her Instagram profile. She’s coming off an ECNL All-Midwest Conference season in 2024-25, securing Second Team honors.

Lauren King

Defender Forward
TX

At just 15, King has competed and scored in both the WPSL and UPSL Women’s Division, earning recognition as one of the youngest scorers in league history. A four-time Dallas Texans ECNL Player of the Week and Allstate Next Wave Showcase selection, she’s recorded multiple assists from the back line and received praise from USL Super League coaches for her pace, bravery, and professional readiness.

Class of 2028

Maddie Cervantes

Midfielder
TX

Coming off another outstanding season, Cervantes earned First Team ECNL All-Conference  honors for the 2024-25 campaign. Representing the Dallas Texans 2009 squad in the Texas Conference, Cervantes serves as the team captain and is one of the nation’s premier playmakers from the Class of 2028.

Berklee McCombs

Midfielder
TX

A First Team ECNL All-Conference midfielder out of Texas, McCombs had a huge season in 2024-25 for DKSC 2009. She’s been in strong form this fall as she prepares for her active recruiting window to open up in June. McCombs is an imposing holding midfielder with great speed and a strong defensive presence, in addition to a knack for starting counterattacks.

Aris Yu

CA

Regarded as one of the most versatile players in the ECNL Northern Cal Conference, Yu earned Second Team All-Conference honors in 2024-25. She’s been one of the leading scorers for Bay Area Surf 2010 while serving as team captain for multiple years, and she’s key contributor on the defensive side. Yu thrives in the transition game, often converting quick turnovers into scoring chances.

Olivia Hasan

Goalkeeper
IL

Currently representing the U.S. U-16 Girls National Team in England during their October training camp and friendlies across the pond, Hasan is going to be one of the most coveted Class of 2028 goalkeepers for all college programs. The Eclipse Select 2010 ECNL star in the process of developing into a truly elite player, with exceptional shot stopping abilities and a great feel for all the nuances of the position.

Evie Kincaid

Midfielder
KS

A multiple-time ECNL All-Conference player, Kincaid is known as one of the most prolific attacking midfielders in the Class of 2028. She’s tall and has a huge leg with a history of launching bangers from long range, and she brings a tough defensive presence as well. Kincaid had a big performance at the 2025 ECNL Finals, where she was noted by SoccerWire scout Jerry Penkala as being a future “big time scorer at the college level.

Chloe Miller

Coming off an ECNL National Championship victory with MVLA SC 2009 last summer, Miller and her teammates are looking to make it back-to-back this season. During her team’s title run at the 2025 ECNL Finals, Miller brought a tremendous presence in the middle of the field, clogging up all possible attacking lanes for their opponents while also creating some key counterattacks for her side.

Anneliese Braun

Goalkeeper
CA

Braun shined between the posts for MVLA 2009 during their ECNL National Championship run, coming up with tough saves in a variety of high-pressure situations. She was noted by SoccerWire scout Jerry Penkala as a ‘prototype’ keeper, standing at around 6-feet tall with a physical presence and elite level athleticism. She’s going to be one of the most sought-after goalkeepers in the country when her recruiting window opens in June 2026.

Brooke Derby

Derby secured multiple clean sheets in the 2024-25 ECNL season, including against the reigning National Champions, Michigan Hawks. Her team finished at the top of their group in the Champions League in the 2025 ECNL Playoffs. She’s a vocal and confident goalkeeper with strong leadership qualities as well good footwork and shot stopping capabilities. She has racked up multiple USYNT ID Center invitations in addition to selections for the USYS Cal South ODP roster and US Club Soccer PDP events.

Vivian Baker

Goalkeeper
CA

Vivian has started the new ECNL season off strong, with zero losses, 10 games played, and 8 clean sheets, putting her talented MVLA 2010 ECNL team on top of the table. Organizing and communicating with her back line is one of her strengths, as is her positioning, setting her up for success on even the toughest shots. Athletic and strong, she rarely drops a ball, has quick hands, and loves to fly between the posts. MVLA will be playing some top teams in Phoenix and Baker will play a key role in those high-powered matchups.

Maya Jolic | Defender
Slammers HB Køge 2010 (CA)

Representing a nationally-renowned Slammers HB Køge 2010 side, Jolic and her teammates on the back line have been in dominant form this fall, earning clean sheets in 4 of their first 6 ECNL league games. Jolic was a postseason standout over the summer, helping her team advance all the way to Richmond, VA for the 2025 ECNL Finals.

Zoe Morello | Defender
Legends FC 2010 (CA)

Morello is a strong and steady player on a Legends FC 2010 back line which is off to another solid start this fall, securing 3 clean sheets in their first 7 games. The team advanced all the way to the ECNL Finals over the summer, thanks in large part to Morello and her defensive teammates coming up with big stops when they were needed most. She’s excellent as a center back and can also play in the defensive midfield when needed.

Molly Gaffney | Goalkeeper
Real Colorado National 2010 (CO)

This 2024-25 ECNL Girls All-American for Real Colorado National 2010 is another shot-stopper who’s part of the U.S. Women’s Youth National Team roster pool. She’ll be right up at the top of the list for the best college programs in the country who will be looking for their next premier goalkeeper from the Class of 2028. Gaffney has lightning quick reaction time and she’s amazingly agile, with virtually zero wasted movement. She reads the game at a level far beyond her years, and has a great feel for distributing the ball, starting possessions out of the back.

Sydney Lewis | Forward
Arizona Arsenal 2009 (AZ)

A game-breaking striker for Arizona Arsenal 2009, Lewis earned ECNL Girls All-American recognition for her standout effort in the 2024-25 season. The dynamic Class of 2028 attacking player is a huge reason why Arizona Arsenal have really held their own over the past couple seasons in the ECNL Southwest Conference, which is riddled with many of the most dominant teams in the nation. Lewis had a standout performance at the ECNL Playoffs last summer, showing her passing and scoring abilities.

Class of 2027

Savannah Leifried

Midfielder
CA

After recently verbally committing to USC, Leifried has continued to earn opportunities as a member of the U.S. Youth National Team roster pool. She’s currently training and competing in Portugal with a combined roster of U.S. U-18 and U-19 Women’s National Team players. Leifried has racked up many accolades over the last year with Bay Area Surf ECNL, including All-Northern Cal Conference honors and a spot on the Northwest Team roster for the ECNL Conference Cup.

Djacga plays up for the De Anza Force 2008 ECNL squad as a 2009 player from the Class of 2027. She’s a defensive standout at both center back and outside back, and she can play most other positions on the field when called upon as well. She was recognized as an All-Northern Cal Conference player last season for her efforts.

Molly McBride

Goalkeeper
CA

McBride is a recent University of Florida verbal commit and a Top 5 ranked goalkeeper in the nation for the Class of 2027 (TopDrawer and Prep Soccer). Molly and her San Juan 2009 ECNL team will be playing top notch teams, including the Rockford Raptors and Real Colorado National. Molly has recorded 4 shutouts in conference play and is looking to add more as part of this event with her solid back line.

Ryan Fogel | Defender / Midfielder
Dallas Texans 2007 (TX)

Fogel captains both the Dallas Texans 2007 ECNL squad and the Ursuline High School varsity soccer team, which has won three consecutive Texas  (6A state champions ‘23 ‘24 ‘25). Her excellent positioning, quick step and mastery of aerial balls make her a force on the back line and a consistent threat in the box. Her commitment to possession, vision and passing touch help build plays out of the back.
