In his role, Wall will work closely with Ryerson to develop a plan for the club’s coaches and male athletes. In addition to his role as the Boy’s DOC, Wall will also coach the club’s 2004 boys CCLII team.

Wall arrived in Maryland in 1994 and has been coaching club and college soccer since 1998. He has extensive coaching and playing experience. After graduating from Saint Anthony’s High School in South Huntington NY, he attended Mount Saint Mary’s University located in Emmitsburg, Md. While at
Mount Saint Mary’s, Wall made a name for himself on the soccer field. He was a four-year starter at the school and accrued numerous accolades while playing. He was named team MVP and was a two-year captain.

Wall gained All Northeast Conference honors for two seasons and NSCAA All South Region honors for one season. He was the recipient of the John M. Wall began his coaching career as an assistant coach at The Mount for Mark Mettrick for one year and Rob Ryerson for one year. He moved on becoming the varsity boys head coach at Damascus High School for two years. At the age of 26, Wall was appointed the first ever men’s soccer coach at Hood College in Frederick, Md. For the past 14 years, Wall has been coaching club soccer for Potomac Soccer Association where he has coached regional and nationally competitive teams. Most notably, he was the head coach of the Potomac Cougars 93 U-17 Maryland State Cup championship team of 2010.

In addition, Wall is a former Maryland Olympic Development Program (ODP) head coach who guided the U-15 boys Maryland ODP team to a Region I Championship and a trip to the ODP National Championship during the 2013 season.

For the past year, Brian was the Director of Coaching for the Alliance Soccer Club while also coaching the club’s U-12 boys.

“I’m very excited to return to Potomac Soccer Association as the Boys Director of Coaching,” Wall said. “I look forward to coaching and working with the entire administrative and technical staff, along with all Potomac players and families.”

“We are very pleased to add a professional like Brian Wall to our program,” Ryerson said. “He will bring a tremendous amount of experience and direction to our club and we are happy to welcome him back into the fold.”

Wall currently holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
