OMG! What a Goal! UNC’s Omar Holness long run and goal [Video Highlights]
North Carolina freshman Omar Holness scored on a ridiculous individual effort in their match against the University of Maryland.
After receiving the ball in his own defensive third of the field, Holness pulls off a nifty move to get through traffic and into open space. Once there, he takes off on a run of over 50 yards through the Maryland defense.
At the top of the 18, Holness cuts the ball to his left and calmly slots the ball past the UMD goalkeeper to the far post.
The 25th minute goal broke a 1-1 tie, though Maryland would eventually come back to draw the game 2-2.
