OMG! What a Goal! Portland Timbers’ Jack Jewsbury scores spectacular long-range goal [Video Highlights]
Portland Timbers’ Jack Jewsbury scored what could be the goal of the season for the club in their 1-0 win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC last week.
In the 39th minute of the match, Franck Songo’o laid a ball back to Jewsbury, who then struck a perfect 35-yard screamer past a diving Brad Knighton.
The goal gave the Timbers the Cascadia Cup, and it was also good enough to run away with the MLS Goal of the Week award.
