Sophie Bolton | Goalkeeper | Class of 2028

Sophie Bolton is a Class of 2028 goalkeeper currently playing for Lexington Sporting Club ECNL. Known for her confident presence, quick reflexes, and strong command of the box, Sophie consistently demonstrates poise and leadership well beyond her age.

As a freshman, she earned the starting goalkeeper position at West Jessamine High School, where her standout performances led to first team All-Region and first team All-State honors her freshman and Sophomore year. She also gained valuable high-level experience after being invited to train, roster and play with Lexington Sporting Club’s USL W League team, making her debut against Indy Eleven. She has also trained with the Lexington Sporting Club USL Super League side.

Sophie continues to gain national exposure through invitations to U.S. Women’s National Team Talent ID events showcasing her ability among top players across the country. Most recently, she had a very strong showing at the ECNL Spring Showcase in Florida, competing against elite national-level competition.

Off the field, Sophie excels academically with a 4.2 GPA and was selected for the Rogers Explorer Program, one of Kentucky’s top STEM enrichment programs. She is also active in FCA and 4-H, reflecting her leadership and commitment to her community.

With her work ethic, athleticism, and competitive drive, Sophie is quickly emerging as a top goalkeeper in the Class of 2028. We can’t wait to see what her future holds!
