Mary Orobono is a 2028 outside back for Penn Fusion ECNL and Episcopal Academy who has established herself as one of the top defenders in her class. Known for her ability to consistently neutralize high-level attackers, Mary combines defensive toughness with exceptional speed, composure, and soccer IQ.

While defending is a cornerstone of her game, Mary is equally effective in transition. She confidently carries the ball forward, breaks defensive lines, creates scoring opportunities, and contributes in the attack when the moment calls for it. Her ability to impact both sides of the ball makes her a valuable asset in any system.

At the club level, Mary plays for a Penn Fusion ECNL team that has ranked among the top three teams nationally in the 2009 age group for the past two years, advancing to the ECNL Elite Eight in 2024 and the Final Four in 2025. At the high school level, she competes for Episcopal Academy, helping lead the Churchwomen to the 2025 PIAA State Championship.
Mary’s athleticism, work rate, and ability to connect play at a high level have made her an integral part of some of the nation’s most successful teams, and she continues to develop into one of the premier outside backs in the Class of 2028.
