Luciana “Lucy” Mendiola is a dynamic and intelligent midfielder known for her versatility, leadership, and high soccer IQ. Currently with Slammers FC ECNL, she has also competed for Pateadores SC ECNL and Blues SC, serving as team captain throughout her club career. With Blues in 2022, Lucy won an ECNL-RL National Championship where she had 2 goals to secure the title. Following that year, she was moved to the ECNL level with Pateadores and in that same year was selected for the ODP program and named ECNL Second Team All-Conference in 2024.

At Mater Dei High School, Lucy made the varsity team as a freshman, a starting defensive midfielder, and helped lead the Monarchs to a CIF Division I Championship that same year. Internationally, she represented her USA team at the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden, where her game-winning penalty kick sent her team to the round of sixteen.

A creative and technically skilled midfielder, Lucy’s versatility and toughness allow her to impact the game from any position on the field. Known as a team player and natural leader, she thrives in high-pressure environments, inspiring her teammates with her determination. She aspires to compete at the NCAA Division I level and ultimately play professional soccer.
