Hi I’m Avery Dixson and I’m 6′ tall defender/mid-fielder who plays for the Portland Thorns 09 ECNL. I am a 3-sport athlete who has competed on the varsity level in every sport since I was a freshman. I have been a team captain the last two years on my high school soccer team, been recognized as all-league selection each year and was named my team MVP. I compete in track in high jump, 400, 4×400 relay, 4×200 relay and 4×100 relay and play basketball. I am a very defensive minded player who possess a great strength in 1v1 defending and the ability to read the field. I am always striving to improve and work my hardest in every training and game. My physical fitness is also one of my best attributes, with my 2-mile time being 12:53 and a 45 on the beep test. I am looking to compete at the highest level in college and beyond.
