Washington Area Girls Soccer League kicks off fall 2012 season

The Washington Area Girls Soccer league opened its 2012 fall season this past weekend with a slate of games across all age groups.

In High School Division 1, Chantilly Revolution 95 shutout Herndon Curve 1-0, while LMVS Patriots poured on the goals in a 6-2 win over NVSC Jr. Majestics 94 and CYA Hotsots 95 defeated ASC Premier Gold 3-2.

In High School Division 2, McLean Power Green and NVSC Jr. Majestics 93 won their openers.

FCSC Fireballs and VYS Fusion won openers in Under-18 Division 4, while the Alexandria Titans and FASA Premiere Impact 95 took its opening WAGS matches also. In U-17 Division 2, Reston Real Force, Herndon Comets White and FASA Premiere Impact 96 all opened with wins, the latter two by 1-0 margins, while Real Force defeated Herndon Chaos 2-0.

WWSC Lady Wolves, SYC Thunder Blue and SYA Cardinals 96 all won their initial games in U-16 Division 4, the first two by 3-0 margins, while SYA won 4-1 over Arlington Athletica White. Stafford Revolution 96G White won and tied over the weekend, scoring a 7-1 win over Arlington Athletica White and tying ASC Radical 1-1.

In U-15 Division 1, Herndon Freedom won twice, outscoring its opponents 12-2, while ODFC Revolution split a pair of games. In U-14 Division 1, ASA Azzurri, ASC Arsenal and VYS Thunder Black all won their openers, with NVSC Jr. Majestics 98 winning and tying, and SAC Premier Blue tying twice over the weekend and Reston United 98 tying once.

VYS Patriots Black and LMVS Patriots Red are unblemished in U-13 Division 1, while Alliance SC Chili Peppers Premier and SAC United Premier both going 1-0-1 over the weekend. And in U-12 Division D, SYA Cardinals 00 White East, Chantilly Stringers and TSC Blitz Ajax all scored wins, with SYA defeating Frederick 00 White 7-0.
