USC Upstate announces change in leadership for women’s soccer program
“I would like to thank Tyson John for his service to USC Upstate,” said Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Daniel Feig. “Coach John helped elevate our women’s soccer program during his time here and has provided a great foundation from which our program can grow. We wish Tyson and his family the best in all of his future endeavors.”
John began his tenure at Upstate on July 18, 2016, as the fourth head coach since the program’s inception in 2000. He departs as the winningest coach in the program’s D1 era with a 27-58-9 overall mark, 12-36-4 in conference play.
A national search for the next leader of Upstate’s women’s soccer program is underway.
Daniel Clitnovici will serve as interim head coach.
Kolarova will coach her final game on Sunday.
It marks the highest-ranked win in program history.
Croix Bethune scored the game-winner in OT.
Individual awards and All-SEC Teams were revealed.
Twenty players have been selected as finalists.
