U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team roster announced for October 2026 camp

ATLANTA – U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team head coach Heather Dyche has called up 24 players, all from the National Women’s Soccer League, for a training camp running from Oct. 5-13 at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Fayetteville, Ga.

The U.S. U-23 WNT will train alongside Emma Hayes’ senior team for the week but will stay in Georgia when the USWNT travels to Washington, D.C. and Chester, Pa., to take on world number one ranked Spain on Oct. 10 and 13, respectively.

The U.S. U-23 WNT will play two full international matches at the end of its camp, taking on the Dominican Republic U-23 WNT on Oct. 9 at 5:30 p.m. ET and Oct. 13 at Noon ET. Both games will be on Field 3 at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center.

This is the fourth training camp of 2026 for the U.S. U-23 WNT, and it features some of the top young talent in the NWSL. Hayes has repeatedly emphasized that at times players who are age-eligible for the U-23s will move between that team and the senior USWNT, and this roster reflects that philosophy. Ten of the players on the roster have trained with the full U.S. Women’s National Team and eight of those have earned senior team caps.

On occasion, a U.S. U-23 WNT roster may feature several “overage” players, all born within a certain number of years before the age-eligible players, which this year are players born on or after Jan. 1, 2003, and this is the case for this roster.

The USA’s five “overage” players in this camp are Angel City FC goalkeeper Angelina Anderson (born in 2001), Utah Royals defender Kate Del Fava (1998), San Diego Wave FC midfielder Gia Corley (2002), Utah Royals FC forward Jameese Joseph (2002) and Seattle Reign FC forward Mia Fishel (2001).

After a highly successful 2025 for the U.S. U-23 WNT, a year in which 16 players who saw minutes with the U-23s eventually earned full USWNT call-ups (counting the 2026 January training camp and other USWNT camps this year), this camp continues the emphasis of U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Emma Hayes on this age group as a vitally important part of the continued growth and depth of the senior side.

Additional Notes:

• Of the 24 National Women’s Soccer League players in camp, seven are in their first seasons in the league, including defender Ayo Oke, who played her first professional season in Mexico with Pachuca before signing with the Denver Summit. The other rookies are Teagan Wy (Gotham FC), Carolyn Calzada (Portland Thorns FC), Heather Gilchrist (Bay FC), Leah Klenke (Houston Dash), Jordynn Dudley (Gotham FC) and Kat Rader (Houston Dash).
• Jayden Perry (Portland Thorns FC), Gia Corley (San Diego Wave FC), Maddie Dahlien (Seattle Reign FC), Mia Fishel (Seattle Reign FC), Caiya Hanks (Portland Thorns FC) and Karlie Lema (Bay FC) are all in their second professional NWSL seasons. Corley, who was born in the USA, grew up in Germany and played in Germany for Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim before coming to the NWSL.
• Hanks was having an excellent rookie year in 2025 before being felled by an ACL injury during the summer. In August of this year, she returned to the field for the Thorns after 14 months and scored a stoppage time game-winner against the Orlando Pride.
• Jordyn Bugg (Seattle Reign FC), Savy King (Angel City FC), Kimmi Ascanio (San Diego Wave FC), Riley Jackson (North Carolina Courage), Ally Lemos (Orlando Pride), Ally Sentnor (Angel City FC) and Jameese Joseph(Utah Royals FC) are all in their third professional seasons.
• Angelina Anderson (Angel City FC) and 18-year-old Melanie Barcenas (San Diego Wave FC) are in their fourth pro seasons, Jaedyn Shaw (Gotham FC) is in her fifth and Kate Del Fava (Utah Royals FC) is in her seventh.
• The players with senior team caps are Shaw (37), Sentnor (23), Bugg (6), Joseph (5), Dahlien (3), Fishel (3), Jackson (1) and Oke (1). All but Fishel have earned USWNT caps in 2026. Fishel last played for the USWNT in 2023.
• This is the first National Team training camp for King – who played in the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup – since she suffered a cardiac event on May 9, 2025, that ledto surgery to address a heart abnormality. She returned to the field for Angel City FC at the beginning of this NWSL season and played in four matches before suffering a foot injury that kept her off the field for four months. She has played nine NWSL matches since her return from that injury.
• Fourteen of the 19 U-23 age-eligible players on this roster are from two different birth years – 2003 and 2004. Bugg (2006), Barcenas (2007) and Ascanio (2008) are the youngest players in camp. All three were age-eligible for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup this year but did not participate in the tournament.
• Fifteen players on this roster have featured on U.S. roster for a FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, a FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, or both. Wy, Bugg, Gilchrist, Klenke, Jackson, Lemos, Dahlien, Dudley, Sentnor and Tordin were all a part of the U.S. team at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup that finished third in the world.
• Angel City FC, Gotham FC, Portland Thorns FC, San Diego Wave FC and Seattle Reign FC each have three players on the roster.
• Fourteen players on the roster have scored in this NWSL season, led by Rader, who has 10 goals as a rookie, and Shaw, who has nine. Lema has seven goals while Barcenas has found the net six times. Sentnor has five goals and Dudley has four.
• Rader and Dudley are among the leading candidates for 2026 NWSL Rookie of the Year.
• Thirteen players on this roster were a part of the rosters from the first three U-23 WNT camps of the year: defenders Bugg, Oke, Del Fava, Perry, Calzada and Klenke, midfielders Lemos and Jackson, and forwardsDahlien, Dudley, Fishel, Lema and Rader.
