U.S. U-20 MNT forward Maki Tall ruled out of World Cup due to injury

CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team forward Maki Tall suffered a fractured big toe on his left foot during the USA’s 2-1 victory against Myanmar on Saturday, May 30, and has been ruled out for the remainder of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Tall left the game in the 48th minute of the U-20’s first group stage match after providing the game equalizer in the first half. No additional player will be added to the roster and Tall will return back home to continue treatment.

The USA blanked New Zealand 4-0 on June 2, punching its ticket to the knockout stage. It will wrap up group play at the U-20 World Cup on June 5 against Ukraine. The game will be broadcast live at 3 a.m. ET on FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports Go and NBC Universo.
