U.S. U-19 Men’s National Team training camp kicks off with 23 players in Carson, CA
CHICAGO – U.S. Under-19 Men’s Youth National Team head coach Marko Mitrović has called up 23 players for a training camp at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. The team will gather from July 25-Aug. 2 in Southern California.
Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2004 are age-eligible for the 2022-23 U-19 MYNT cycle. Three players called into the training camp were born in 2004 and 20 were born in 2005.

All 20 players called to Carson are also age-eligible for the U-20 MYNT, which just qualified for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia and the 2024 Olympics in Paris with its performance at the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship in Honduras. The players born in 2005 are also age-eligible for the 2024-25 U-20 World Cup cycle.
Seven players have been a part of all three U-19 training camps, while eight are making their first appearance with the U-19 MYNT: goalkeepers Charles DeMarco and Dominic Pereira, defenders Anthony Gonzalez, Drew Murray and Santiago Suarez, midfielders Noel Buck and Jack Panayotou plus forward Luke Brennan.
All 23 players are based domestically, with 21 at Major League Soccer clubs. Three players each come from Houston Dynamo FC, the New England Revolution and Orlando City SC. The two non-MLS players are DeMarco at New York youth club BW Gottschee and Suarez at the USL Championship’s Sacramento Republic.
