U.S. U-15 BNT falls to Mexico 3-0 in Torneo delle Nazioni

SVIPAVA, Slovenia (Via U.S. Soccer) — The U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team fell 3-0 to regional rival Mexico in its final group stage game at the 2019 Torneo delle Nazioni. El Tri scored twice in the first half and added a goal late in the second to secure the victory.
With the result, the USA finishes third in Group C at the tournament. It will now enter a ninth-12th place consolation bracket against the tournament’s three other third-placed teams: England, Turkey and Norway. The U-15s will return to action on Thursday, May 2 against Norway at 10 a.m. ET and play England or Turkey on Saturday in its final game at the competition.

The 19-player roster for the Torneo delle Nazioni is made up of 18 players born in 2004 and one player born in 2005. All fourteen U.S.-based players currently compete in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. Two players are already signed to professional contracts, while one has already made his pro debut.
