U.S. Men’s National Team to host public training session on Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Columbus Crew Stadium

As part of the continuing effort to connect with the fans, the U.S. Men’s National Team will host a public training session on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Columbus Crew Stadium. Admission and parking for the event are free.

At the session, fans will get a first-hand look at how the National Team prepares for an important match and hear exclusive interviews with U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann and select players. With limited tickets available for the USA-Jamaica match two days later, the event gives more supporters a chance to see the team in action.

U.S. Soccer Supporters Club members will have field-level access during the training session.

The public training session comes two days before the USA faces Jamaica on Matchday 4 of the Semifinal Round in 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying. Kickoff at Crew Stadium is set for 8 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN2, ESPN3 and the Univision family. Fans can also follow the match live on ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker and on Twitter @ussoccer.

Remaining tickets are available through ussoccer.com, by calling 1-800-745-3000, at all central Ohio Ticketmaster ticket centers (including Kroger stores) and the Crew Stadium ticket office (open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

The U.S. currently leads Group A with four points, ahead of Jamaica based on goal differential. Semifinal Round action resumes Sept. 7, with the United States facing Jamaica at “The Office” in Kingston. The team is coming off an historic victory against Mexico, winning 1-0 on Aug. 15 and capturing its first victory ever against Mexico on their home soil.
