Towson women’s soccer announces signing of five transfers for 2024 season

TOWSON, Md. – Towson women’s soccer head coach Katherine Vettori announced the signing of five transfers for the 2024 season.

The group joins a team that saw the Tigers record a historic season in 2023, including the program’s first CAA regular season and tournament championship as well as the first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. Towson won a program-best 15 games this past season with the Tigers winning four of the six major awards in the league.

“Brooke and Sydney have been excellent additions to our spring roster. Courtney, Kale’a, and Taylor will bring a lot of experience as grad transfers to our fall roster. We are looking forward to fall 2024, just a few months away!” head coach Katherine Vettori said of the transfers.

Birrell comes to Towson after a couple of seasons in College Park with Maryland. She appeared in one game for the Terps this past season against George Mason. In high school, Birrell was a four-year letterwinner, helping South County to the 2021 Virginia 6A state championship.
