SLSG Boys College Showcase draws more than 120 college coaches

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Via US Club Soccer) – For the second consecutive year, more than 120 college coaches were in attendance at the St. Louis Scott Gallagher (SLSG) Boys College Showcase, April 5-7. Hosted at Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex in St. Louis, the showcase upheld the format introduced in 2018, which saw boys 15-U through 19-U Midwest Developmental League member clubs compete in cross-conference league play.

“Having the amazing US Club Soccer Midwest Developmental League Showcase teams inside of the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Boys College Showcase has ensured quality college coaches from across the region to attend our event,” added SLSG Tournament Director, Mitch Bohnak. “College coaches want to see quality player and Midwest Developmental League teams supply a vast number of future college players. A total of 256 teams from 16 states, 120+ college coaches and 25 turf fields help to make this event one of the top showcases in the Midwest. Thanks to all the clubs on their professionalism and travels to make this happen.”

The Midwest Developmental League is comprised of 15 member clubs spanning western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan. The league includes an Eastern and Western region and is one of the qualifying leagues within the Elite National Premier League (ENPL). The 2019 postseason will see the top two teams in 14-U through 17-U age groups after regular season play advance to the ENPL National Playoff, while the top team in the 19-U age group advances to the ENPL 19-U National Finals.
