Slammers FC U-18s with weekend sweep in Elite Clubs National League play

Slammers FC’s Under-18 ECNL squad picked up three wins in five days in league action over the past week, defeating San Diego Surf, Real So Cal and Irvine Strikers by a combined 10-3 margin.
Last Wednesday, Slammers defeated San Diego Surf 2-1, then picked up a 3-1 win over Real So Cal on Saturday. Slammers completed the trifecta of wins Sunday with a 5-1 defeat of Irvine Strikers.
The wins move Slammers to 14-1-1 with 43 points, 12 ahead of Arsenal FC.
Mountain Conference clubs Colorado Rush, Colorado Storm, Real Colorado and Utah Avalanche took part in the ECNL’s player development program event at the Colorado School of Mines in Denver.
U-17 play saw a rare blowout, with Scorpions SC taking a 10-1 decision Sunday over SoccerPlus Connecticut.
Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest conference clubs were off last weekend.
