SEC Soccer Players of the Week selected following third week of action

The SEC Players of the Week have been selected following the third week of competition during the 2023 NCAA women’s soccer season.

Offensive Player of the Week

JORDYN RHODES – KENTUCKY
F • Gr. South Lebanon, Ohio

Rhodes scored in Kentucky’s wins against UT-Martin and Illinois. She has scored in all five of Kentucky’s matches to start the season, the longest scoring streak of her career. Rhodes has four game-winning goals already this season – a new career high. She is now up to 42 goals for her Kentucky career, two shy of Kim LaBelle for the program record. Her four shots on goal against Illinois were a season-high.

Defensive Player of the Week

SHU OHBA – OLE MISS
GK • Jr. Fujisawa, Japan

Ohba recorded back-to-back shutouts against Samford and previously undefeated Georgia State. She made four saves on 12 shots faced against the Bulldogs and two saves on nine shots faced against the Panthers. She has now recorded three shutouts in her first five games as a Rebels and only allowed two total goals.

Freshman of the Week

MEGAN HINNENKAMP – FLORIDA
M • Fr. Kearney, Mo.

Hinnenkamp opened scoring at Kennesaw State with her third goal of the last two matches. She received the ball in stride from Tori Grambo and then scored in the far post top shelf off her second shot of the match. Hinnenkamp leads Florida in goals (3) and points (6).
