Richmond Kickers partners with Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc for 2012 season
The Richmond Kickers and Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. jointly announced a new partnership for the 2012 season that will feature the advanced testing laboratory based in Richmond, Virginia as the new front-of-jersey sponsor for the Kickers professional team. The jerseys will be officially unveiled this Saturday, April 7 at the Kickers 20th Anniversary home opener, with the Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. logo prominently featured on the 1993 green and blue retro kit. Additionally, Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. CEO Tonya Mallory will present the official game ball.
“Our advanced lab is focused on making people healthy,” said Tonya Mallory, CEO and co-founder of Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. “The Richmond Kickers organization is the perfect example of living a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on active living, diet, prevention, and community engagement.”
With a shared mission of improving health in the community, the Kickers and Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. will collaborate to implement the new partnership across all levels of the Kickers nationally renowned Club Model. In addition to sponsorship rights to the Kickers pro jerseys, Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. will provide branded Adidas gear for all Kickers travel coaches, and each Kickers soccer camp participant will receive a replica pro t-shirt. Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. will also be the game night sponsor for the Kickers’ game versus Orlando City on April 21, providing an exclusive, special edition item for the first 1,000 fans in attendance.
“Our organization places great emphasis on healthy lifestyles,” commented Hunter Leemon, Richmond Kickers Director of Soccer. “From our professional team to the thousands of youth Kickers throughout Metro Richmond, we hope that the game of soccer provides a foundation for our players to make healthy lifestyle choices. It is because of this common dedication to building a healthier community that our partnership with Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. is a wonderful collaboration. We are ecstatic about this partnership and hope it represents the beginning of a long-standing relationship.”
The retro uniforms, created by Adidas, pay homage to 20 years of professional soccer in Richmond. The jersey and shorts feature a classic design in the Kickers’ original green and blue colors from 1993. In addition to the unique color scheme, the retro look features the adidas three-stripes and red accents, which inspired the Kickers modern red strip.
The primary kit showcases the Kickers signature red jersey, shorts and socks. The sleek and lightweight Adidas Regista jersey features subtle, white accents and traditional Adidas three-striping. White piping at the neckline and shoulders give the jersey further definition while the state-of-the-art ClimaLite® moisture control provides cool on-field comfort. The red, Adidas Equipo short, constructed for motion, speed and comfort, paired with the red, Adidas ForMotion Elite Sock complete the on-field look. The Kickers will once again wear an all-white third kit, with Kickers modern, red accents.
“Health Diagnostic Laboratory is proud to not only sponsor the rights to the Kickers pro jerseys and branded gear, but to also open our doors to the entire team for advanced cardiovascular testing,” continued Mallory. “By taking a simple blood test, the team will be aware of their total health and continue to improve their wellbeing and performance.”
