The ECNL Girls San Diego Event is coming up October 11-13, as some of the nation’s best teams will go head-to-head in one of the most competitive tournaments of the Fall 2025 season.
ECNL San Diego will feature 110 total teams across the U12-U15 age groups. For the U14 and U15 divisions, these players are entering a key phase of their youth soccer careers, as college coaches begin to evaluate the upcoming group of athletes who will be eligible to be recruited in the coming years.
This weekend’s tournament will feature many of the top prospects in the country from the Class of 2029 and Class of 2030. Ahead of ECNL San Diego, here are some players to know for the tournament. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

Class of 2030

Her ability to play in tight spaces has significantly improved over the past year, allowing her to create scoring opportunities under pressure and lead the line with confidence. She’s helped Bay Area Surf get off to a great start in ECNL league play this season. (HIGHLIGHTS)
Sicily La Macchia
Bringing speed and exceptional technical skills to the Mustang SC 2012 midfield, La Macchia has been a star from the NorCal Futsal program, winning numerous state and regional titles. Those futsal skills have translated to the ECNL field as well, with Mustang SC 2012 piling up an impressive 29 goals in just 8 games so far this season. (HIGHLIGHTS)
A talented center back for the LA Breakers 2012 ECNL side, Shayestehfar has established herself strongly in the US Youth Soccer Cal South ODP roster pool, which is regarded as the most exclusive state pool in the country. This season, she’s been named to the USYS West Region ODP Interregional roster. She’s also helped guide LA Breakers to a solid start to the ECNL season, contributing to 2 clean sheets in 5 games.

Brazil Crockett | Defender / Midfielder
So Cal Blues 2011 (CA)
A highly-touted prospect in the U.S. Youth National Team roster pool, Crockett is coming off an outstanding performance in the 2025 ECNL Girls Postseason, where she led So Cal Blues 2011 all the way to the U14 Semifinals. Crockett and her teammates on the back line even held the eventual U14 ECNL National Champion San Diego Surf off the scoreboard in the semis, a game that ended in a 0-0 draw before being decided in penalty kicks. Most recently, Crockett participated in September training camp with the U.S. U-15 Girls National Team.

Kate Cintron | Forward / Midfielder
So Cal Blues 2011 (CA)
Another So Cal Blues 2011 player who’s on the U.S. Youth National Team radar, Cintron is a dynamic goal scorer and overall playmaker who played a pivotal role in the Blues’ phenomenal run last season. She projects as one of the premier offensive prospects in the Class of 2030, and should be in for another exciting ECNL season.
———————
Aubrey Taylor | Midfielder
San Diego Surf 2011 (CA)
Taylor was a key piece in the middle of the field for San Diego Surf 2011 during their U14 ECNL National Championship campaign this past summer. She was all over the field in the postseason, scoring huge goals and providing big assists to her teammates throughout Surf’s title run. Taylor also received her latest call-up to the USYNT in September 2025, participating in the U.S. U-15 Girls National Team training camp.
———————
Claire Hansen | Defender / Midfielder
Pateadores SC 2011 (CA)
This versatile defender / midfielder for Pateadores has been climbing up the ranks of the USYNT, earning call-ups at both the U-14 and U-15 levels over the past year. Hansen is regarded for her exceptional speed of play, which shines brightly when she’s lining up on the outside, covering a ton of ground up and down the field.
———————
Lyla Villareal | Midfielder
Classics Elite 2011 (TX)
One of the few Texas sides heading to San Diego this weekend, Classics Elite 2011 will have a great opportunity to test themselves against some premier non-Conference opponents early in the season. Villareal is a focal point of the Classic Elite 2011 squad, bringing a lot of creativity on the offensive side with the ball at her feet, creating space off the dribble, passing and finishing.
———————
Kensington McGrath | Forward
San Diego Surf 2012 (CA)
McGrath is a standout striker for San Diego Surf’s U14 ECNL team and one of the top talents to watch at the upcoming ECNL San Diego Showcase. A key force behind Surf’s previous ECNL National Championship run, Kensie was named Player of the Tournament, showcasing her ability to rise to the occasion on the biggest stage. This ECNL season, she has continued her dominant form with 11 goals and 4 assists already this season, contributing to 58% of her team’s total offense. A high-IQ forward with sharp instincts, technical finesse, and relentless drive, Kensie is dangerous both as a clinical finisher and as a creative playmaker.

Makenna Misa | Midfielder
Legends FC 2011 (CA)
This U.S. U-15 Girls National Team midfielder is playing up with the Legends FC 2011 squad, and her tremendous technical skills have shined brightly even against the nation’s best competition. Hailing from Las Vegas, Misa also represents ALBION SC Las Vegas in the Girls Academy. She’s simply exceptional with the ball at her feet, navigating tight spaces with remarkable precision, and is explosive with her first step when she goes on the attack, making her an extremely dangerous playmaker. (HIGHLIGHTS)
———————
Ella Vanstone | Goalkeeper
San Diego Surf 2011 (CA)
Vanstone is a two-time ECNL National Champion with the San Diego Surf 2011 team, serving as the exclusive goalkeeper during their reign of dominance. She’s been on the USYNT radar for multiple years, and only continues to develop her already well-rounded and refined skillset, despite being a Class of 2030 prospect playing up in the 2011 age group. Vanstone and her back line are already off to another great start this season, recording 3 clean sheets through 6 league games.
Class of 2029
Sydney is a dynamic defender, playing wingback and/or winger. She possesses a strong combination of overall athleticism, agility, physical strength, height, and speed with technical skills in tackling, ball control, and passing. She has good tactical awareness to position well and read the game effectively, with an ability to scan and make quick decisions to dribble into space, make short passes, initiate give-and-go plays, or launch longer range passes from deep areas.
Molina is a dynamic goal-scorer who joined So Cal Blues 2011 (from FC Dallas) midway through last season, where she exploded onto the scene with 15 goals from February 2025 through the end of the postseason. She plays both forward and midfield, has great technical skills with both feet, and she’s an All-American track star who holds the Texas record for the 800 meter dash. Molina netted 28 total goals in the 2024-25 ECNL campaign, and helped lead So Cal Blues all the way to the national semifinals.
An up-and-coming defender for Mustang SC 2011, Toal has represented the West Region in the US Youth Soccer ODP Championships, earning coveted roster spots alongside other top players from the talent-rich West Coast. She and her teammates will get a great test in San Diego as they’ve started the season in dominant fashion, earning 6 clean sheets in 8 ECNL games.
Bearden is an athletic and adaptable goalkeeper who has spent years refining her skills and developing a deep understanding of the game. She combines outstanding technical ability with the consistency to make game-changing saves. Comfortable and confident with both feet, Lane excels at building play from the back and switching the point of attack — a key strength that sets her apart. (HIGHLIGHTS)
———————
Anjali Nimmagadda | Forward / Midfielder
San Diego Surf 2011 (CA)
Repping the reigning ECNL National Champion San Diego Surf, Nimmagadda is a nightmare for opposing defenses. She and her teammates routinely score goals in bunches, playing with clinical precision and a pace of play that’s unheard of for this age group. When going on the attack, defenders have little ability to predict what Nimmagadda will do with the ball, and can only guess if she’s going to pass the ball off to a teammate or go for the finish herself.
———————
Avara Stimsonriah | Goalkeeper
Phoenix Rising FC Youth 2011 (AZ)
Despite regularly going up against USYNT roster pool members on the attacking side, Stimsonriah has always held her own with a ton of poise between the posts. She’s established herself as one of the nation’s best goalkeepers in the Class of 2029, and she’s with a new club this season, having moved over to Phoenix Rising from Utah Royals FC AZ.
———————
Catalina Vesser | Defender
Mustang SC 2011 (CA)
This USYNT prospect has helped lead Mustang SC 2011 to an outstanding start to the 2025-26 ECNL season, as they’ve posted a strong 6-1-1 record while outsourcing opponents by a 26-5 margin. Vesser covers ground in the defensive third as well as any player in the country from the Class of 2029, and she has a knack for quickly starting dangerous possessions the other way, after forcing turnovers and winning 50-50 balls.
———————
Tristan Brown | Defender
Arizona Arsenal 2011 (AZ)
Tristan is a dynamic player with high soccer IQ. She traveled to France earlier this year with US Club Soccer as one of 20 girls selected for the id2 Girls National Team from across the country.
———————
Emma Esterbrook | Goalkeeper
Pateadores SC 2011 (CA)
Esterbrook is competing in her third year of ECNL competition with Pateadores, having been invited to four USYNT ID Centers since 2024. She is a well-rounded goalkeeper: an excellent shot stopper, a loud and leading voice for her team, and has the ability to play with the ball at her feet and get pinpoint passes where they need to go. With only 4 goals scored against her in 5 games, she is helping keep her team in the hunt for a playoff spot.
