Photo gallery: North American Sand Soccer Championships 2012

The North American Sand Soccer Championships concluded Sunday on the Virginia Beach oceanfront after three days with more than 900 teams and 10,000 players taking part, and more than 100,000 people on the sands of the Atlantic on what proved to be a gorgeous, albeit warm weekend.
New to the tournament in 2012 was an OpSail division to coincide with OpSail 2012, the international sailing festival which also took place in the Hampton Roads area over the weekend.
Florida Beach Soccer defeated Deerfield Beach, also of Florida, 3-2 in the Men’s ProAm Final, and in the OpSail International division, BNS Independencia of Brazil defeated Peruvian Training Ship, also by a 3-2 score.
