Ole Miss goalkeeper Lexi Baldwin transfers to Iowa with three seasons of eligibility

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Ole Miss transfer Lexi Baldwin has signed a scholarship agreement with the University of Iowa women’s soccer program, head coach Dean Ward announced Thursday. Baldwin will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

“We are excited to add Lexi to our goalkeeper unit and expect her to compete immediately,” said Ward. “Lexi brings a physical profile and experience at the Power Four level that will be valuable in our goalkeeper position.”

Baldwin appeared in one match during her freshman season at Ole Miss, recording a save against No. 5 Tennessee.

A sophomore-to-be, Baldwin is a native of Paradise Valley, Arizona. She played at Chaparral High School and competed for Utah Royals FC at the club level. As a senior, she helped lead Chaparral to a 23-2-2 record, including a 5-0 mark in Region 5A play. Baldwin allowed one or fewer goals in 24 of 27 games that season.
