Matchup details set for 2021-22 US Youth Soccer National League P.R.O. season

FRISCO, Texas — Each team competing in the 2021-22 season of US Youth Soccer National League P.R.O. can now have a clear vision of its pathway to a group title or berth to the 2022 USYS National Championships, as information on team groupings, local game pairings and second event assignments is now available.

The field of teams in each gender age group is divided into groups of eight teams. Within each group of eight, every team is paired with another team for its “local game.” The local game, along with two three-game events, comprise each team’s seven-game National League P.R.O. schedule.

For details on local game matchups, click on the link above to see the pairings as noted in the ‘Pair’ column of the tables. For example, the two teams in Group A with A1 listed in the ‘Pair’ column will play each other in the local game.

In each gender age group, all teams will attend a common first event — with the 14U age group playing in Round Rock, Texas, and the 15U through 19U age groups playing in Orlando, Fla.

For the 2021-22 season, each group of eight teams will see every team in the group attend the same second National League P.R.O. event. For example, every team in 15U Boys Group B will go to Florida for its second event of the season, while every team in 15U Boys Group D will go to Arizona for its second event of the season.

The complete 2021-22 National League P.R.O. event game schedules will be available later in the year ahead of the first events.

National League P.R.O. represents the top level of competition within the USYS National League, and it features play for boys and girls teams in the 14U (2008), 15U (2007), 16U (2006), 17U (2005), 18U (2004) and 19U (2003) age groups. The 2021-22 season includes up to 48 teams per gender age group.

For each gender, National League P.R.O. will qualify 12 teams per age group directly into the 2022 USYS National Championships, where the National League P.R.O. representatives will join the four USYS Regional Champions to compete for the USYS National title.
