Maryland native Cyrus Carey signs with La Liga club’s academy
Maryland native Cyrus Carey has signed a contract with La Liga club SD Huesca’s academy program, where he will join the U-17 squad.
The class of 2022 midfielder currently plays club soccer for St. Mary’s Soccer in Maryland, while also representing DeMatha Catholic High School.
In December 2020, Carey traveled to Spain for a tryout with SD Huesca and recently was offered a one-year contract to join the La Liga club’s academy.
Carey has been playing soccer since the age of 7, when he began is youth career with Maryland Rush. See below for highlights of Carey’s time with DeMatha:
