LA Galaxy Academy U-16s claim Aspire Tri-Nations Cup

(Via LA Galaxy) – They came. They saw. They conquered. On Sunday, the LA Galaxy Academy’s U-16 embarked on a plane headed to Qatar for the Aspire Tri-Series Tournament. The tournament consisted of three teams: Olympiacos FC, the Aspire Academy and the Galaxy Academy. The Galaxy would face each team once for the chance to claim the Aspire Tri-Nations Cup.
The Academy opened the tournament facing the host, Aspire Academy. The Galaxy Academy won the match with a score of 2-1 with goals from Arnold Castillo and Efrain Alvarez.
The next day, the Galaxy Academy faced Olympiacos FC Academy with a chance to clinch the tournament with a win. After trailing early, the Galaxy Academy put their foot on the pedal to win 5-3, clinching the Aspire Tri-Nations Cup. Goals were scored by Efrain Alvarez, Victor Cano, and Uly Llanez who totaled three goals in the match.
