FC Dallas Academy U-15 side defeats USWNT 5-2 in scrimmage

FRISCO (Via FC Dallas) – The U.S. Women’s National Team returns to Toyota Stadium on Thursday evening, and just like in their Olympic Qualifying preparation a year ago, they found to friendly competition in the FC Dallas Academy.
On Sunday, the Women played a scrimmage against the U-15 Academy team at SMU, a game which FCD won 5-2 on the back of goals from Kameron Lacey, Giggs Adames, Ivan Juarez and a brace from Nathan Hayes.
Last year as the Women prepared for Rio, they scrimmaged the U-15 Academy and several players trained with them in the week leading up to the match.
This time around, Harper Simmons and Judson Burns were invited to train with the USWNT on Saturday as they prepare for a pair of friendlies against Russia beginning Thursday in Frisco.
