FC Dallas lifts face mask requirement for fans at Toyota Stadium

FC Dallas announced on Friday that fans will no longer be required to wear face masks when attending games at Toyota Stadium this season.

In March, the state of Texas lifted its mandate for wearing face masks in public. Now, Major League Soccer (MLS) has changed its mask policy as well, allowing clubs to follow their local guidelines.

See below for the full statement issued by FC Dallas today:

Frisco, TX (May 7, 2021) – Major League Soccer recently amended its face mask policy which will allow teams to follow state and local guidelines in regard to masking. The state of Texas and Collin County have not required residents to wear masks in public since March 10, 2021. FC Dallas will no longer require guests attending matches at Toyota Stadium to wear a face mask, starting with this Saturday’s match against the Houston Dynamo (2:30PM CT, KUVN 23, FCDallas.com/Radio, TUDN 1270AM). FC Dallas recommends all guests attending matches at Toyota Stadium continue to wear a mask unless actively eating or drinking.”
