EDP Cup Fall 2019 to host top-ranked teams from outside Eastern Region

(Via EDP Soccer) – Of the 578 teams from across North America that will be participating in the fast-approaching EDP Cup Fall 2019, a large number will be traveling from far and wide, including teams from Texas, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Florida, and 2 Canadian Provinces, creating a diverse pool of competition.

“It is important for our team to play out of the region and play against the top teams in North America, specifically the East Region. To not only show our boys what other top teams look like and how they play, but to also test ourselves against elite competition.” explained Rob Charron, Milton Youth Soccer (Canada) Coach BU11 2009

“We are always looking for opportunities to bring high level teams together and cultivate the most competitive environments for participating teams” said Alan Shilling, EDP President.  “We have an amazing caliber of teams coming to EDP Cup this October and we couldn’t be more excited to be celebrating our 20th anniversary with such a high-profile competition”.

“It is important for us to play outside of our area because we come to test ourselves against the best of the East Region,” said Kevin Salazar, coach of the Dallas Texans 2010 Boys Pre-Academy (Texas). “We are expecting tough competition, which we’re excited about. All of the three teams we drew in our bracket, are some of the best around in the area. We expect to come out champions!”
