ECNL Boys title matches set for U13-U17 Club Competition and Regional League

After Friday’s first day of competition at the ECNL Boys Finals from SilverLakes Sports Complex in Norco, California, it was semifinal action throughout the day on Saturday.

Twenty teams from the ECNL Boys Club Competition looked to book their place in the ECNL Boys National Championship Games, while another 20 from the Regional League looked to secure their spot in Monday’s ECNL Regional League Championship Games.

Below is a recap of all the action and who is advancing into Monday’s championship games.

U13 Champions League

In the U13 age group, San Diego Surf claimed their spot in Monday’s national championship game via a 3-1 win over Slammers FC in their semifinal matchup on Saturday. Surf will be met in the final by Dallas Texans Academy who picked up a win over NCFC Youth Academy to book their place in the final.

U14 Champions League

In the U14 semifinals, neither game could be decided in regulation, sending both games to penalties to decide who the two finalists would be. Pipeline SC advanced into the final over Sporting California USA, where they will face off against Tulsa SC after they defeated San Diego Surf on penalties.

U15 Champions League

In the U15 semifinals, Crossfire Premier booked their place in the championship game following a win over Chicago Magic and will be joined in the final by Slammers FC after their 3-0 win over NEFC in Saturday’s semifinal.

U16 Champions League

In the U16 bracket, San Diego Surf and Eclipse Select SC are left standing to battle it out for the championship on Monday. San Diego Surf advanced to the final by way of a 1-0 victory over Pipeline SC, while Eclipse earned their way into the final with a 3-1 win over Legends FC.

U17 Champions League 

For the second day in a row, it took penalties for Seattle United to book their spot into the next round. This time, their penalty shootout win was over Legends FC and sends them into Monday’s national championship game where they will face off against Richmond United who advanced to the finals with a 5-2 win over Marin FC.

U13 Regional League

In Regional League action, the U13 semifinals both went to penalties to decide the two finalists for the championship on Monday. SLSG advanced through the penalty shootout over Next Generation Soccer Academy, while in the other semifinal, Villarreal VA advanced past GSA on penalties.

U14 Regional League

In the U14 bracket, Richmond Kickers advanced to the finals by way of a 3-2 win over Legends FC, while in the other semifinal game, STA advanced in penalties over Albion Hurricanes FC to book their place in the championship game.

U15 Regional League

In the U15 semifinals, it came down to penalty kicks between NC Fusion and Prince William Courage, with NC Fusion earning their win and their spot in the championship game. On the other side of the bracket, Oklahoma Celtic defeated Braden River to advance into Monday’s final.

U16 Regional League

In the U16 semifinals, Great Falls Reston SC needed penalties to clinch their spot in Monday’s championship over Connecticut FC, while in the other semifinal, LAFC So Cal advanced over Legends FC by way of a 1-0 victory.

U17 Regional League

In the U17 semifinals, Solar SC advanced in a high scoring 4-3 battle against Three Rivers SC to secure their place in Monday’s final, where they will be joined by Arlington Soccer after they used a 2-1 win to advance past Blast FC Academy.
