Don Overmier promoted to associate head coach at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA (Via Drexel University) — Drexel University Head Coach Ray Goon has announced that Don Overmier has been promoted to the associate head coach of the women’s soccer team.
“Don has been a huge part of our program for more than a decade,” said Goon. “He goes well above and beyond the normal job description of an assistant coach. Don is also a vital member of the Drexel Athletics community and is one of the most well-liked members of our department.”
Overmier has been Goon’s assistant for the last 12 seasons. The Dragons have advanced to the Colonial Athletic Association Championships in each of the last three season and in five of the last seven seasons. During that stretch, the Dragons have won nine or more games on four occasions, including a school-record 13 in 2012.
